New Online Service for Determining Spectral Response Acceleration with Display of Seismic
Background
WEB Germany has been divided into relatively small areas on the basis of seismicity and geology, allowing assignment of spectral response acceleration within these areas. The seismic network GEOFON run by the GFZ provides seismic data and rapid determination of spectral response acceleration values for every earthquake.
Current Status
These results for Germany and earthquakes around the world which took place within the last 12 months are now available online. Users can select an earthquake and view the corresponding maps of spectral response acceleration for different natural vibration periods.
