Frank Solich to Enter 16th Season

Athens, Ohio - Tim Albin enters his fourth season as head coach of Ohio football after being promoted to the position on July 15, 2019. Albin has compiled a record of 17-16 during his tenure, including a 7-6 mark in 2022.

Prior to his promotion, Albin served as the associate head coach and running backs coach for the Bobcats. He also spent time as the offensive coordinator at Miami (Ohio) and Kentucky.

Albin will be tasked with continuing to improve the Bobcats' program, which has made two bowl appearances in the past four years. Ohio will open the 2023 season on September 1 at home against Duquesne.

Frank Solich enters his 16th season as head coach of the Ohio Bobcats in 2023. Solich has compiled a record of 112-82 during his tenure in Athens, including 10 bowl appearances.

Solich has led the Bobcats to six Mid-American Conference championships and has been named MAC Coach of the Year three times. He is the winningest coach in Ohio football history.

Solich will be looking to build on the Bobcats' success in 2023. Ohio finished 7-6 last season and reached the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
